In the repair of your vehicle you may be asked, or even required, to use non-factory parts to complete your repairs. You will most likely be given terms like LKQ, AM, SLV or one of the many initials or acronyms. What does it all mean though. What makes one auto part different from another? Is it quality, craftsmanship, durability, crash worthiness, how it holds up in in-climate weather? Or, is it simply dollars & cents?
